Nuevo Leon drew in foreign investments totaling US$4.3 billion in 2022.
NUEVO LEON – During 2022, Nuevo Leon saw an influx of US$4.3 billion in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), representing a rise of 9.2% compared to the previous year.
Nuevo Leon captured 12.45% of the national total in terms of FDI, making it the second entity that attracted the most foreign investment after Mexico City, which attracted 30.95% of the total.
It’s noteworthy that this is the highest figure since 2010, when US$4 billion was attracted, and 2005, when the amount was US$3 billion.
Governor Samuel García Sepúlveda emphasized that Nuevo Leon is the best place for investment and business in Mexico, as well as being the largest region with demand for FDI.
“There is a line of American, Asian, German and Swiss companies, among others, that want to come to Mexico, that trust in our country, they are impressed by the labor force and the human capital of Nuevo Leon,” he said.
Since the start of this administration in October 2021, 119 investment projects have been confirmed.
“Companies know that in Nuevo León they find the best human capital, infrastructure and security for their businesses in the region,” said Iván Rivas Rodríguez, the state minister of Economy.
