Nuevo León – Tesla, the automotive and technology company owned by tycoon Elon Musk, announced the installation of a factory in the state in early 2023.

Sources confirmed to ABC Noticias that the plant would be located in the municipality of Santa Catarina.

On October 23rd, Musk held a meeting with Samuel Garcia, Governor of the State of Santa Catarina during a visit to the state.

In photographs to which ABC Noticias had access, the Undersecretary of Investment of the State Ministry of Economy, Emmanuel Loo and the head of Amar a Nuevo Leon, Mariana Rodriguez, were also seen.

Ivan Rivas, Secretary of Economy, informed days later that he could not give details of the meeting due to a confidentiality agreement that the state authorities signed with the founder of the car company.
