Kern Liebers announces US$10 million invest in expansion plant.
GUADALUPE, NL – German company, Kern Liebers, recently expanded their production facility located in the municipality of Guadalupe, Nuevo León. The expansion was made possible through an investment of $10 million and is expected to generate a total of 300 jobs for the local community. This plant is set to produce a staggering 50 million high-precision parts for industries such as automotive, medical, and consumer goods.
These precision parts will be used in the manufacture of various products, including but not limited to seat belts, air-conditioning drums, hand tool balancers, tape measures, electric saw starters, and window springs. The expansion of the plant is a significant event, and it highlights the importance of foreign investment in Nuevo León. According to the state minister of Economy, Ivan Rivas Rodriguez, Germany is one of the largest foreign investors in the area with more than $469 million invested in the past two years.
Timm Jenisch, the company’s senior vice president for North America, noted the significance of having a presence in North America. North America is considered to be the largest commercial market in the world, and it is crucial for the company to have a presence in this market. Jenisch added that Nuevo León is the ideal location for the company due to its favorable industry conditions, excellent connectivity, and advantageous geographic location.
Kern Liebers has been in operation since 1988 and has two additional plants located in Querétaro and the State of Mexico. The company mainly produces springs, wires, stamping and dies at these facilities. The expansion of the production plant in Nuevo León is a testament to the company’s commitment to growth and expansion.
