Safran executives have announced the expansion of operations in Querétaro with an investment of $80 million and the creation of 800 new high-specialization jobs in the coming years.

Leaders of the top firm in the aerospace field have indicated that the investment will be utilized to establish the Group’s seventh plant, housing an aviation engine test facility, for the advancement and innovation of the aerospace industry, alongside the enlargement of two existing plants.

Safran Aircraft Engines CEO, Jean-Paul Alary, remarked that this investment marks a significant stride in the industry. He mentioned that the test facility will enhance testing capacity to keep up with the rapid growth of the engine fleet, necessitating the creation of additional jobs within the state.

“We are immensely proud and genuinely appreciate Querétaro’s steadfast support in enabling us to expand our capacity,” he emphasized.

The investment project, named SAESA Testcell, will house the most cutting-edge test facility in the world. Within this facility, the group will conduct aeronautical engine tests, and they are also considering the expansion of their operations workshop.

The 800 high-specialization jobs that will be created through this project will be focused on maintenance, production, innovation, development, and research of new technologies.
