SA Automotive to invest a new plant in Ramos Arizpe

RAMOS ARIZPE, COAH – SA Automotive has announced an investment of US$16 million to establish a hybrid facility in the Santa María Industrial Park in Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila. This venture will create 500 job opportunities.

Ramiro Delgado Ramos, the managing director of SA Automotive, stated that their company, which serves as a prominent Tier 1 supplier, boasts over three decades of experience in the automotive sector.

Included in their extensive range of products for the automotive industry are vehicle canopies, cargo and luggage systems, seat backs and seats, door panels, soundproof coatings, and plastic injection components. Among their esteemed clientele are renowned names such as Tesla, Ford, GM, Stellantis, Nissan, Rivian, Lordstown, Lucid, VW, and TMD.

Delgado Ramos elaborated that in Ramos Arizpe, they will establish a hybrid facility that will house both the polymer division and the automotive division, enabling them to offer a diverse array of innovative products to the market.

He further explained that 30% of their production will cater to electric vehicles. As for the polymer sector, their output will be utilized in various industries, including cable manufacturing, piping, and construction.

José María Morales Padilla, the mayor of Ramos Arizpe, highlighted that this municipality continues to lead the state in job creation, with over 109,000 jobs registered with the IMSS.

Meanwhile, Claudio Bres Garza, the Secretary of Economy, emphasized that Coahuila has generated 29,362 job opportunities in just five months. He expressed confidence that the number will exceed 30,000 by the end of the first half of the year 2023 and increase numbers.

In related news, Tesla has also announced its significant investments in Mexico. The company has committed substantial resources to establish manufacturing facilities and expand its presence in the country. This move is expected to contribute to job creation and economic growth in the region.
